Introduction to Forest Gardening
What is Forest Gardening and who is it for?
This ancient form of gardening is familiar in the tropics but a relatively new thing in colder climates, but the principle works just as well! It can also work in any space, you do not need to be forest sized!
Dawn Chorus Bird Walk with Rob Frith
Come and experience Vallis Farm at a very special time of day.
We’ll meet outside the front of the farmhouse at 5:15 am where you’ll be greeted with a hot drink, before heading off for a guided tour of the farm with ecologist and bird specialist Rob Frith. Together we’ll soak up the dawn chorus and maybe spy our barn owls!
A cooked breakfast using the finest local ingredients (eggs from our lovely rescue hens!) will be served afterwards around the dining table in the farmhouse where Rob will be on hand to answer your questions on birds and other local wildlife.
We expect to finish by 10.00 at the latest so you can leave full of food and knowledge with a whole day ahead of you (or maybe a nap).
Please note this is one of two Dawn Chorus Bird Walk events. If you can’t make this date the event will be repeated on the 10th May.
