Making Kimchi Workshop with Somerset Kimchi & Kraut
Did you know our microbiome is a living community?
Eating Sauerkraut and Kimchi and other foods teeming with good bacteria (probiotics) will feed it and that is great for our health.
Come along to a hands-on, friendly workshop and learn the secret of making successful and delicious Kimchi with Alex from Somerset Kimchi & Kraut.
You will take away your own 1L jar full of the kimchi you make and all the skills to make more at home.
This three-hour course is designed to be fun, informative and sociable and you will also enjoy a delicious plate of fermented epicurean delights. In this new extended workshop we will not only make Kimchi but also a simple brined veg recipe as well as have a demo for another recipe. It’s going to be jam packed with fermented food, clear information and loads of goodies to take home. Courses take place at the beautiful Vallis Farm, a bio dynamic organic farm and community hub just outside of the vibrant Somerset town of Frome.
“I love Alex's generous approach! Warm and welcoming to all, her joyful nature kept us entertained whilst she taught us how to feed our microbiome and how to make our own overflowing jars of fermented goodness. The beautiful setting at Vallis Farm, and Alex's tasty fermented treats, served mid session, added to the magic.” (Jen, recent Workshop participant)
