Play (and Stay?)

We know that school holidays are hard on working parents. Even the best holiday clubs require a commute to and from both for drop off and pick up. Vallis Farm is trying to fix that!

Play (and Stay?) offers parents the chance to work from our Farm House whilst your child / children (aged 8-12 years) are entertained on the Farm. We are trialing this on two Tuesdays during the Easter Holidays, 8th April and 15th April, 2025.

Sample agenda for the day

9:00 - 9:15 Arrivals

9:15 - 12:00 Morning Session

12:00 - 12:30 Lunch

12:30 - 13:00 Feed the animals

13:00 - 15:00 Afternoon Session

15:00 - Hometime

Example activities might include bug house making, seed sowing, easter egg decorating and egg hunt, poo-dunnit game and scavenger hunts.

Activities will be confirmed nearer the time but will be primarily outdoors so please make sure children arrive with appropriate clothing and footwear. This is a working farm with uneven ground.

For parents that want to stay (not obligatory) we will provide a warm and comfortable space to work from, with good wifi, tea and coffee. The lunch break will apply to parents too so that you can eat with the children. This will be an informal co-working environment; we neither want it to feel like a library nor a call centre!

Tickets are £50 per child and includes co-working for one adult.

There is a 10% discount for Friends of Vallis members or for anyone booking for more than one child. Please email vicky@vallisfarm.co.uk for discount code.

Lunch is not included - please bring packed lunches for both parents and children. Any waste, such as packaging, must be taken home with you.
