One Day Pottery Course.

An intensive day course that is both inspiring and very enjoyable. On this course you will be guided through the basics of throwing on the potters wheel, starting with simple tapas dishes, you will progress with support to pieces such as coffee cups, cereal bowls and plant pots. During this one day course you will also explore the hand building process of ceramics to make a range of gorgeous items, such as house signs, tiles and coasters, jewellery, vases and dishes.

Kim will be demonstrating a range of decorative techniques using coloured liquid clay (slips) you can choose to colour and decorate your pieces using the coloured ceramic slips which come in a range of colours from vibrant reds, oranges and yellows to muted greys and whites, and also rich blues, greens and turquoise.

This course is suitable for absolute beginners (even if you don’t see yourself as creative!) You will be surprised at how quickly you learn with clay and the quality and quantity of what you produce in the day. It’s a technically informative course, with everything explained clearly and great introduction to the world of ceramics and working with clay.
