Want to learn and help us search for harvest mice nests on the farm?
Join our wildlife volunteers and horticulture apprentice Robyn, searching through the grass swards to find presence of breeding nests left behind by Harvest Mice. Harvest mice are now lacking data across the country. We found quite a few last time we searched in the orchard and hope that we can increase the number we find across the farm.
This data all falls into showing how we manage the land on the farm is having a positive impact on biodiversity. So come and experience it for yourself.
You will need a good pair of boots, gardening gloves, waterproofs and maybe a stick to help you search.
Hot drinks and confectionary will be provided during the session.
Please email robyn@vallisfarm.co.uk to join for the day.
