Brush Making Workshop

Book onto this 2.5 hour workshop to learn how to bind plant fibres into brooms using a traditional binding technique seen in many cultures around the world.

We will be spending our time binding in 2 different fibres. The first broom we will make will be in a softer, more workable fibre which is brilliant as a hearth, crumb, dusting or table brush and the second brush in a stiffer Broomcorn, which is brilliant as a hard floor or rug broom. You will go home with your 2 brooms to use for a lifetime and a skill you can get creative with and go on to work with other fibres and bindings.

Brush binding can be hard on your hands when you first begin but this doesn’t need to stop us making - if you struggle with finger dexterity, just let me know and I will ensure we take breaks and pace ourselves.

£75

Drinks and nibbles will be provided as well as a welcoming and creative atmosphere.
